summer ironing

i love soft wrinkled linens, but sometimes love the ritual of ironing sundried linens sprinkled with lavender water...

    this is a photo of my dream summer laundry room i created for victoria magazine many years ago...it's in a lovely old long island summer house from 1910 called meadowcroft...

    If all my ironing looked so beautiful I might have a go. A veritable landfill site of dried laundry looks less appealing I am afraid.

    i just found my ironing board the other day and thought... hmmm maybe i should us this! i love doing laundry but never been a fan or ironing...

    having a pretty ironing board cover and an old wicker basket for laundry makes it seem more fun than it really is and having a favorite old movie on in the background helps too!
